Favorite 2025 Fall Pantone Hues to Inspire my Jewelry Designs
As the weather turns cooler, and the first signs of fall begin to show themselves in my neighborhood around me, I know that it’s time to turn towards my annual autumn jewelry collection and future winter collections. For the past several years I’ve enjoyed looking at the Pantone color trends for the upcoming fall and winter season as inspiration. These colors make their way into my jewelry collections in the form of gemstones and other accent colors.
Much like the spring 2025 Pantone colors, fall had two different palettes to view, one from New York and the second from London.
New York vs. London
The New York color palette is enriched with earthiness. The ten different shades feature five colors that are quintessentially fall. Ranging from reds, to orange, yellow and purple, these colors are idyllic in the fall season and perfect for adding a pop of color. The New York color palette also includes a few neutral shades, a grey-blue, grey and white, that transition into the winter months perfectly.
London also features ten colors that have a strong depth of color. Five of the shades are earthy colors that evoke fall. Four colors fall on the cooler spectrum, adding stark contrast to the earthy shades.
What was interesting to me is how similar these two different palettes felt for the fall/winter season. Here are a few of the colors that I found inspiring, and how I hope to incorporate these in my handmade jewelry this season.
Favorite 2025 Fall Pantone Hues
As always, I want to highlight a few of the colors that I like the most. These are colors that will ultimately work their way into my jewelry designs during the cooler months. They are also colors that I find interesting and inspiring.
Adventurine vs. Magical Forest
I am a sucker for a good teal in the fall. It works beautifully with coppers and browns much like Mocha Mousse, making it one of the first colors I grab for when I pull out my color palette for the fall season. Adventurine is also a great color for winter too, adding a rich bright color amid a landscape filled with whites and greys.
Scarlet Smile vs Poppy Red
This vibrant red is a beautiful color for fall with the vivid red hue. But where it can add a lot of fun is at a holiday party. Paired with a lime green this is a modern take on the classic Christmas red color, and would work well in necklaces and earrings for any holiday party.
Italian Plum vs Fig
Italian plum is rich purple is a great way to add depth to a traditional fall color palette. Isn’t quite as dark as its NYC counterpart. Paired with gold, these rich purple colors make a true statement for any outfit.
Winter Sky vs Lavender Blue
This grey-blue color is a wonderful ode to the winter season. Captured in labradorite gemstones, this vibrant color is truly at home in most winter jewelry designs and is neutral enough to work with so many different colors.
How to use 2025 Fall Pantone Colors
I always look to Pantone colors as I pull the gemstones and other colorful bead elements I plan to incorporate into my fall jewelry. I love the way the earthy colors are contrasted by more vibrant hues that are part of a cooler color spectrum. In the case of this year, I plan to accent vibrant crystal beads that match the teal hues of Adventurine/ Magical Forrest with corals that match Scarlet Smile/ Poppy Red, and garnets and deep purple amethyst that evoke Italian Plum/Fig.
These earthy colors are at home with gold and copper metal accents, and leather for added color and texture contrast. Even if I don’t find the perfect pendant to pair with the design, simply featuring the colors with their metal accent will create stunning jewelry accessories.
Turning towards my winter jewelry designs, Labradorite feels at home in most of my winter-inspired jewelry designs and feels very similar to Winter Sky, and chalcedony feels familiar to Lavender blue, a nice way to add a bit more vibrancy to any winter color palette. I would plan to pair these colors with whites and silvers.
2025 Fall Pantone Colors
I’m so excited to design jewelry with these vibrant hues. As every year, the Pantone color choices get me excited for fall and the jewelry to be created. I can’t wait to see how these colors materialize in my upcoming jewelry designs.
