May Flowers Volume VI Jewelry Collection

Several years ago, I visited a garden dedicated to my late friend in Steamboat Springs. As I wandered through and looked at the explosion of color, the May Flowers collection was born. Every year since I channel the explosion of color into vibrant fun jewelry.

During the spring, there is a true explosion of color. Not only is every hue of green represented, but so are pinks, purples, blues, whites, and really, every color imaginable. The explosion of color is inspiring, especially after the monochromatic winter season.

Several weeks ago a friend of mine brought up the idea of walking the neighborhood to go looking for beautiful floral sights, or blossom browsing as we dubbed it. Remember how I said that the explosion of color is so welcome after the winter? Well, with this in mind, I really resonated with her opinion that we should appreciate spring more.

Think about it: the fall season is a vibe. There are special seasonal drinks, a whole wardrobe change, and even fall-inspired playlists for more relaxing acoustic music to match the cooling weather. But what about spring? Were are the floral drinks? Where is the wardrobe change to embrace more color in your wardrobe? What about playlists that capture the warming of the world around us? Spring deserves attention and credit too, another reason I love creating this collection each year. It feels like my way to honor the season.

This year I took the inspiration to heart and created one of my largest collections in a long time, 23 designs in total. The necklaces vary in length, the longer looks working well with higher neckline outfits, perfect as you transition from layers to warmer weather ware. And the shorter necklaces work well with lower cut necklines, and can be stacked with longer necklaces for a layered look. The earrings incorporate charms, gemstones, and fun flower accents to celebrate spring.

This year I utilized quartz gemstones in pinks, greens, and purples, designed several accessories with amethyst, created with pink tourmaline, pink opal, and pink agate, and had two necklaces with blue bonnet agate. I used silver, gold, and rose gold metal accents on my designs. As I styled all the designs together I loved the variety of color and how everything came together.

As always I hope you enjoy this collection as much as I enjoyed creating it. Snag your favorite design in my online shop now before it’s gone!

PS, if you’d like to look back at my past collections, let’s take a trip down memory lane with the May Flowers, Volume II, Volume III, Volume IV, and Volume V blog posts.
